OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

The guiding principles below provides a structure and ground rule of how the strategic plan will be carried out by Healthy Living and Resources.

WE WILL:

  • Continually endeavor the bridge of continuum care between prevention, treatment, aftercare, outreach so it is consistent need of those services.

  • Be open and receptive to the evolution of substance misuse, prevention and key mentor in that continuum care, continually engage in the overall aims of the Nation.

  • Reflect the diversity of our Nation through education, awareness, and messaging that are culturally inclusive and responsive to both resources and participants, regardless of scope of beliefs.

  • Ensure our efforts are measurable so we can assess our impact and channel resources if an activity is not generating the desired outcomes.

  • Hold one another accountable for completing the work, be transparent in communications, to demonstrate evidence-based guidelines for acute and chronic substance misuse in general and high-risk populations to lessen the risk of substance misuse and overdose to improve the care of individuals.

  • Develop and advertise educational materials to the community about harm reduction and prevention of overdoses and safe disposal of harm reduction supplies.

  • Utilize a new approach to technical assistance for substance misuse and mental health that engages experts, healthcare providers, recovery specialists and addressing substance misuse crisis.
